Description
The Whitney Crab is a large crabapple with yellow skin overlaid with red blush red striping. Whitney Crab is one of the few crabapples that is great for eating out of hand; crisp, juicy, subacid, almost sweet, with crabapple overtones. Also used for canning, preserving, pickling and spicing. Fair Keeper. Locally this crab is also known as “Summer Snow.”
